AI agents have crossed 2.1 million indexed payments on the XRP Ledger, yet the settled value behind that activity remains small. As of Aug. 17, the tracker showed 2,103,860 transactions that had settled 5,123.09 XRP and 2,282.56 RLUSD.
With XRP near $1, the combined value was about $7,400, or roughly $0.0035 per payment. The gap between transaction count and settlement value puts the scale of the activity in context.

The XRPL AI Hub listed 141 merchants on Aug. 17, though a handful of services still accounted for much of the activity. Heurist Mesh had recorded 478,283 transactions, followed by LucyOS at 400,663 and ClawBank at 137,791.
Heurist Inference Router had 36,699 transactions, while AskSurf recorded 34,803. Those five services accounted for about 51.7% of indexed activity, meaning more than half of the tracked transactions came from just five services despite the directory listing 141 merchants.
The low dollar value is partly explained by how x402 payments work. x402 lets software pay for APIs and digital resources per request, while t54’s XRPL version settles payer-signed XRP or issued-token payments through a facilitator.
Recent transactions displayed on t54’s XRPL AI Hub included payments of 0.001 XRP, 0.002 XRP and 0.0005 RLUSD. Because x402 services can charge for each API request, repeated low-value requests can quickly raise transaction counts without generating much settlement volume.
The $7,400 total needs that context because x402 is designed partly for micropayments and machine-to-machine payments. x402 documentation lists both as core use cases, while Ripple added XRP and RLUSD support to its XRPL AI Starter Kit in June 2026.
The 2 million total also depends on how t54 defines and tracks activity. t54 says its index records validated XRPL Payments whose SourceTag matches a registered facilitator tag and filters dust below a minimum threshold.
The figure therefore represents tracked x402-linked activity rather than every autonomous payment made across XRPL. For XRP itself, the data shows transaction usage but little settled value so far.
XRPL documents a minimum standard transaction cost of 0.00001 XRP, or 10 drops. That low base cost helps make sub-cent payments possible.
