Ripple has unveiled a new AI-focused payments starter kit for the XRP Ledger (XRPL), allowing autonomous AI agents to make payments for digital services using XRP (XRP) and Ripple USD (RLUSD).
The initiative leverages the x402 protocol, a framework designed to enable seamless machine-to-machine transactions as AI becomes increasingly integrated into business operations.
The launch comes as XRP faces mounting technical pressure in the market. Despite recent declines, bulls continue to defend the critical $1.10 support level, a zone many analysts view as essential for preventing a deeper correction.
As AI agents increasingly perform tasks on behalf of businesses, Ripple believes payment infrastructure must evolve beyond simple transaction speed.
The company argues that trust, controls, transparency, and programmable settlement mechanisms will be crucial as autonomous systems begin exchanging value independently.
As AI agents begin transacting on behalf of businesses, payments need more than speed. They need trust, controls, and clear rules for how value moves.

Ripple said it is helping build the infrastructure for trusted agent-driven payments, with the XRP Ledger and RLUSD serving as foundational components for the future of commerce.
The newly released AI starter kit enables developers to integrate payment functionality directly into AI applications, allowing autonomous agents to purchase digital services, access APIs, and conduct other transactions without human intervention.
By combining XRP’s fast settlement capabilities with RLUSD’s stable-value functionality, Ripple aims to create a practical payment layer for emerging AI ecosystems.
While Ripple expands the utility of its ecosystem, XRP’s market performance remains under pressure.
The cryptocurrency recently failed to maintain momentum above the $1.1550 region, triggering a fresh correction that pushed prices below several important support levels. XRP subsequently fell beneath $1.1500 and $1.1420, with the asset now trading below its 100-hour simple moving average (SMA).

Technical indicators suggest bearish momentum remains in control. A bearish trendline has formed near $1.120, creating immediate resistance for any recovery attempt. Meanwhile, the relative strength index (RSI) has slipped below the neutral 50 level, indicating weakening buyer strength.
For bulls to regain momentum, XRP must reclaim resistance at $1.120 and then break above the more significant $1.1350 barrier. A successful move beyond those levels could open the door toward $1.1420, followed by a retest of the $1.1550 region.
The most important battleground for XRP currently sits at $1.10.
Recent price action saw XRP break below a support structure that had held since February. However, the decline found support near the lower boundary of a broader descending channel that has guided XRP’s price movement since August 2025.

The fact that XRP stabilized near this longer-term channel floor provides bulls with an opportunity to defend the broader trend. As long as the token remains above $1.10, the possibility of a technical rebound remains intact.
A decisive breakdown below this level, however, could accelerate losses toward $1.08, which aligns with the 76.4% Fibonacci retracement level of the previous rally. Further weakness could expose support zones at $1.0650, $1.05, and potentially the psychologically significant $1.00 level.
Despite the recent selloff, a move back toward $1.27 would offer the first meaningful indication that XRP is beginning to repair the damage caused by the breakdown from its previous trading range.
Such a recovery would test whether current buying activity represents a genuine trend reversal or merely a short-term oversold bounce.
XRP has pulled back from $1.55 to $1.09, and its 4-hour market structure has clearly weakened. The current consolidation near $1.10 does not necessarily mark a true bottom; any rebound is more likely a liquidity correction than a trend reversal. Looking further ahead, some market observers remain optimistic about XRP’s long-term outlook, suggesting that sustained support above current levels could eventually pave the way for a larger rally.
For now, however, XRP’s immediate fate rests on whether buyers can continue defending the critical $1.10 support zone, while Ripple advances its vision of AI-powered payments on the XRP Ledger.
