Points of Focus
- World Money is rolling out in 150+ countries with stablecoins, payments, trading, lending, and financial mini apps.
- Stripe powers US funding through Apple Pay, converting deposits into stablecoins within minutes.
- Morpho powers Earn, while Kalshi is available through World’s Mini App ecosystem.
World has begun rolling out World Money, a self-custodial financial app launching in more than 150 countries with stablecoin balances, payments, trading, and onchain lending. The app includes integrations and mini apps from Stripe, Kalshi, and Morpho, with availability varying by country.
Users can hold US dollars and supported local-currency stablecoins, send and receive digital assets through a World username, track portfolios, and access financial mini apps including Kalshi, Credit, and Morpho.
World has also separated its identity and financial functions into dedicated apps. The World ID App handles verification and credentials, while World Money contains the crypto wallet, payments, and virtual accounts. Existing users retain the same World ID across both apps.
The split comes as digital identity systems are becoming more closely connected with payments and online services, alongside a wider debate over digital ID, age verification, and privacy.
Stripe powers US stablecoin funding
Stripe powers World Money’s default funding flow in the US.
Users can add funds through Apple Pay and convert them into stablecoins inside the app. World said the assets typically reach the user’s account within minutes. Stripe also provides infrastructure supporting the movement of assets into and out of World Money.

The launch adds another large consumer app to products connecting stablecoins with familiar payment interfaces. Stablecoin infrastructure has also been moving deeper into internet-native payments, including Coinbase’s x402 protocol for USDC payments over HTTP.
World Money also connects bank transfers to self-custodial wallets through virtual accounts. USD virtual accounts use Lead Bank to issue account and routing details. Stripe-owned Bridge converts incoming dollars into USDC (USDC) and deposits the funds into a user’s World Wallet on World Chain. The accounts can receive business payments, paychecks, and employer deposits.
Ripio powers local virtual accounts in Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico. Argentina accounts convert incoming pesos into wARS, Colombian accounts use wCOP, while Mexico accounts convert pesos into WLD. Users can also withdraw supported assets to local bank accounts through World Money.
Morpho powers World Money Earn
World Money’s Earn feature lets users deposit supported assets into onchain lending programs powered by Morpho.
Supported assets currently include WLD, USDC, Wrapped Ether (wETH), and Wrapped Bitcoin (wBTC). Rates vary according to Morpho markets, deposited amounts, and promotional incentives. World ID-verified users can receive promotional boosts on the first 1,000 WLD and 1,000 USDC deposited into eligible programs.
Users can deposit and track those positions directly inside World Money, while Morpho handles the underlying onchain lending process. World warns that the programs carry smart-contract and market risks and that rates can change.
Morpho infrastructure is being used across other privacy and decentralized finance (DeFi) products. Zama recently expanded its confidential DeFi system to 16 Morpho vaults alongside encrypted swaps.
Kalshi joins World Money’s Mini App layer
Kalshi is available through World Money’s Mini App ecosystem, giving users access to prediction markets alongside payments, trading, and lending. World also lists Credit and Morpho among its financial mini apps.
World Money is operated by Tools for Humanity, while the World Foundation stewards the broader World protocol.
World said the app is not a bank, digital assets are not government-insured, and investing and Earn programs can involve loss of principal. Availability varies by jurisdiction.
