Coinbase launched one of its broadest product expansions on December 17, 2025, adding commission-free U.S. stock and ETF trading, Kalshi-powered prediction markets, Solana DEX integration via Jupiter, custom stablecoin issuance tools, and an AI advisor, positioning the exchange as a multi-asset “everything” platform in direct competition with fintech apps and global brokers.
The rollout includes extended-hours equities trading for U.S. users, with plans for stock-linked perpetual futures internationally, and Coinbase Tokenize for institutional real-world asset issuance. Prediction markets through Kalshi enable regulated event-based bets, while Jupiter integration brings Solana DEX liquidity and new token access directly into the Coinbase app. Stablecoin features include Custom Stablecoins for businesses and the x402 payments standard.

Derivatives trading has been streamlined into the main app. Coinbase Advisor, an AI assistant, has also been released to a wider audience, with the Base App and Coinbase Business services boosting availability. CEO Brian Armstrong called it “the next chapter for Coinbase as the everything exchange,” emphasizing seamless access across crypto, equities, and payments. Brian had previously announced in July 2025 that Coinbase is becoming “the everything exchange, which was later teased by independent researcher Jane Manchung Wong in a leak in November 2025.

On X, crypto news analyst Tyler described the announcement as “a new era for Coinbase…” Other crypto enthusiasts and tools launched on the app have also shown their support for it with trending posts on the social media site.

The launch follows Coinbase’s $1.1 billion Bridge acquisition and Privy wallet buy, with Solana now trading at $124.69, up by 1.55% in the last 24 hours, reflecting ecosystem momentum.
