US President Donald Trump’s media company is preparing to give Wall Street companies faster access to market-moving Truth Social posts just days after a CNN investigation found the president had promoted more than 20 companies on the platform shortly after buying shares in them. The launch comes as Senate lawmakers remain locked in negotiations over ethics provisions in the CLARITY Act, placing Trump’s media business at the center of a widening debate over presidential financial conflicts.

Trump Media announced on July 16 that Truth API will launch on Aug. 1, offering licensed, real-time access to posts from the platform’s highest-ranking accounts. The company said the service is designed for institutional customers such as algorithmic and high-frequency trading companies that value receiving information within milliseconds rather than relying on manual monitoring or conventional notifications. Customers will also receive a continuous feed of posts and access to archived content dating back to 2022.

Interim CEO Kevin McGurn described the product as the company’s first data licensing business and said it is expected to become a recurring source of revenue as adoption grows. Trump Media hasn’t disclosed pricing but said it has already signed customers ahead of the August launch.
The launch also drew mixed reactions online. Critics argued that selling faster access to the president’s market-moving posts could deepen concerns about fairness and conflicts of interest, while others said institutional investors already pay for low-latency financial data and viewed the service as a commercial product rather than evidence of wrongdoing.

The announcement arrives as Senate Republicans work to secure enough votes for the CLARITY Act before the August recess. Ethics provisions remain the largest obstacle after several Democrats argued the latest draft doesn’t place sufficient limits on financial conflicts involving senior government officials, including the president.
The overlap is significant because Trump’s Truth Social account has become a primary channel for policy announcements on tariffs, trade, and geopolitical developments that have repeatedly influenced stocks, commodities, and digital assets. Faster distribution of those posts creates a commercial product around information that many institutional investors already monitor closely.
Senator Ruben Gallego, one of the lead Democratic negotiators, has said the latest draft lacks strong ethics provisions, while the White House has rejected allegations that Trump uses his office for personal financial gain and has said his investment decisions are handled by outside managers.

The immediate commercial impact of Truth API remains uncertain because Trump Media hasn’t disclosed customer numbers or expected revenue. Its debut on Aug. 1 will provide an early test of whether institutional investors are willing to pay for faster access to presidential communications at the same time Congress is weighing stricter ethics standards for officials with business interests tied to financial markets.
