Points of Focus

  • Hunter Biden’s LAPTOP reached $144.96 two minutes after trading began, giving its 1-billion-token supply a $144.96-billion FDV as Arkham reported $48,000 in pool liquidity.
  • Arkham traced 80 million LAPTOP from a project liquidity wallet into a proxy, alongside 9-million and 1.5-million-token movements involving GSR-linked wallets.
  • A project-labeled Gnosis Safe sent 2.5 million LAPTOP to an intermediary address before roughly 2.1 million reached an Arkham-labeled Wintermute hot wallet.

Hunter Biden’s LAPTOP memecoin reached a $144.96-billion fully diluted valuation (FDV) two minutes after launch, according to Arkham’s onchain analysis, as token inventory moved through project-controlled addresses, market-maker-linked wallets, and exchange deposits around the opening of trading.

Arkham said LAPTOP began trading at 8:02 pm and reached its peak at 8:04 pm. Its dashboard showed a $144.96 price, $4.59 million in 24-hour volume, and a $144.96-billion FDV. The tracked liquidity pool contained about $48,000, according to Arkham.

The launch followed earlier details on LAPTOP’s Base debut and token structure. Biden announced the token on Sept. 9, describing it as a memecoin centered on “resilience, redemption, and recovery.”

$145-billion FDV emerged from a $48,000 pool

LAPTOP has a fixed maximum supply of 1 billion tokens. At Arkham’s recorded $144.96 price, that supply implied a $144.96-billion FDV. The project lists 350 million LAPTOP, or 35% of total supply, as circulating at the token generation event (TGE), while the 300-million-token founder allocation and 300-million-token predictions allocation remain locked.

The displayed FDV was roughly 3 million times the reported liquidity in the tracked pool. In a shallow automated market maker, relatively small purchases can move the marginal token price sharply, while larger trades face progressively heavier slippage.

A recent 4Stock launch showed a similar gap between marked value and available liquidity, when a $4,400 position briefly displayed a value of $780,000.

LAPTOP’s official disclosures warn that decentralized exchange (DEX) trading can expose holders to volatility and high slippage. The document also warns that limited market depth and liquidity may make it difficult to sell meaningful quantities at a desired price.

80 million LAPTOP moved from liquidity allocation

Arkham’s transfer history shows substantial token movements before and around the launch.

About six hours before the screenshots were captured, an address labeled Laptop Token: Liquidity transferred 80 million LAPTOP to an EIP-1967 transparent proxy. A separate project-linked Gnosis Safe sent 4 million LAPTOP to Aerodrome Finance around two hours earlier.

The project allocated 100 million LAPTOP, or 10% of total supply, to liquidity, with the full allocation unlocked at the TGE. Its disclosures allow those tokens to be provisioned to exchange partners and market makers under their respective liquidity agreements.

Arkham’s holder table shows large balances concentrated in project-labeled contracts, including two Gnosis Safes holding 300 million LAPTOP each, another holding 100 million, and a proxy holding nearly 80 million.

The two 300-million-token balances match the founder and prediction allocations, which carry six- and 12-month locks, respectively, followed by 24-month vesting.

GSR tokens reach Bitvavo as 2.1 million LAPTOP moves to Wintermute

LAPTOP’s current disclosures name G20 and GSR under market-maker loan agreements covering an aggregate of 20.5 million tokens, or 2.05% of total supply.

Arkham recorded several GSR-linked transfers around the launch. A GSR Markets wallet sent 9 million LAPTOP to an intermediary address, which then forwarded the same amount to a Gnosis Safe. Another GSR-linked transfer moved 1.5 million LAPTOP to a Bitvavo deposit address.

A project-labeled Gnosis Safe sent 2.5 million LAPTOP to an intermediary address 21 hours before the screenshots. Arkham later traced about 2.1 million LAPTOP from that address to a Wintermute-labeled hot wallet, with another 200,000 LAPTOP linked to a Wintermute-labeled Kraken deposit address.

Current LAPTOP disclosures name G20 and GSR as market makers. Wintermute is absent from the document, and its role in the observed transfers remains unconfirmed.
