Points of Focus

  • LINK trades at $8.0815, down 0.90%, after losing its Hull MA support.
  • Only the 50-day SMA at $8.0229 remains as a tracked support level.
  • LBank adopted Chainlink Data Streams for its prediction market platform today.

Chainlink (LINK) trades at $8.0815, down 0.90% on the day, per TradingView data, at the time of writing.

The daily candle opened at $8.1547, reached a high of $8.2196, fell to a low of $8.0620, and closed at $8.0813, breaking below a level that had held as support across our last two updates.

The Hull MA breaks, leaving one average standing

Out of the 14 moving averages (MAs) TradingView tracks for LINK, only the 50-day simple moving average (SMA) at $8.0229 now sits below the spot price as support. The Hull MA, which had held as support at $8.1426 and $8.1553 in the previous two days, flipped to resistance today at $8.1121 as the price fell through it.

Every other average, from the 10-day exponential moving average (EMA) at $8.2221 through the 200-day EMA at $9.6187, remains above the price as resistance.

  • The relative strength index (RSI) reads 46.05, close to the midpoint.
  • The average directional index (ADX) reads 11.66, an especially weak trend reading.
  • Momentum (-0.2906) gives an upward signal, while the moving average convergence/divergence (MACD) at 0.0001 is effectively flat, both sitting right at the line between the two directions.
  • The stochastic %K at 23.82 and the commodity channel index (CCI) at -115.02 sit in neutral territory as well, reinforcing that this is a weak-trend consolidation rather than a decisive move.

The classic pivot point sits at $8.0443, converging with today’s low of $8.0620 and the 50-day SMA at $8.0229 into a single, narrow support zone, the only floor left on the chart.

Chainlink extends its prediction market reach

LBank, which serves more than 25 million registered users across 160 countries, integrated Chainlink Data Streams to power LBank Predict, its prediction market platform, according to LBank’s announcement. The upgrade is built to support faster resolution and settlement of five-minute and 15-minute Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) prediction contracts, cutting waiting time after contract expiry.

LBank describes the goal as data timeliness, settlement efficiency, and transparency for its short-term prediction markets.

The integration follows the same Chainlink Data Streams infrastructure already powering Polymarket, Myriad, and World, extending Chainlink’s oracle reach to a fourth major prediction market operator without requiring LBank to build settlement infrastructure in-house.

What comes next

The setup pairs deteriorating technical structure with continued fundamental adoption. LINK now has a single MA standing between spot price and a chart with no tracked technical support at all, a weaker position than either of our last two checks.

A daily close below the $8.0229-$8.0443 zone would leave the token without a defined floor on the MA stack, testing whether adoption news like today’s LBank integration can hold price up on its own. Holding above that zone keeps the current floor intact for at least one more session, with the Hull MA at $8.1121 now the first level any recovery would need to reclaim.
