Chainlink published a terminal screenshot on June 13 that captures something the technical community has been waiting for: a developer asking a single question and getting a fully functional onchain prediction market in return.
With Chainlink, building an onchain @FIFAWorldCup prediction market is only a single prompt away.
One workflow. Verified data. Automated settlement.

The prompt reads: “using /chainlink-cre-skill, build a prediction market dApp that lets users trade YES/NO markets on FIFA World Cup outcomes, uses Chainlink as the prediction market oracle, resolves markets automatically from verifiable match-result data with no manual settlement, pays out winners onchain in approximately 5 minutes rather than 1 to 2 hours, and handles market creation, escrow, resolution, and payout end to end.”
The agent’s response: “Any questions before you start?”
That exchange is the product. The “/chainlink-cre-skill” is one of six AI developer agent skills in Chainlink’s publicly available bundle, which can be installed from any project directory with a single “npx” command. Once installed, a compatible AI assistant can activate the skill automatically when a task matches its description, or a developer can invoke it explicitly using the slash syntax.
The skill teaches developers to use Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE), create projects in Go or TypeScript, and build workflows using CRON (time-based scheduling), HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol), or Ethereum Virtual Machine log triggers.
It also enables smart-contract development that can receive and verify CRE reports, simulate workflows before deployment, and deploy them with monitoring tools. CRE is one of Chainlink’s AI agent skills designed to automate end-to-end onchain application development and operations.

The CRE is the orchestration layer that makes the one-prompt workflow possible at production scale. CRE automates the full lifecycle of a prediction market: market creation triggered by an event, data ingestion from official FIFA sources, outcome resolution written onto the chain, and payout execution to winning positions, all without human intervention at any stage.
For a FIFA World Cup market, the sequence works as follows. When a match ends, the official FIFA result data is written onto the blockchain by Chainlink’s oracle network. The smart contract reads the verified result. Open positions are settled automatically. Winners receive funds onchain within five minutes of the final whistle.
The distinction from legacy prediction market infrastructure is not incremental. Platforms that rely on manual or committee-based resolution introduce a dispute window between outcome and settlement that can last hours or days.
At World Cup scale, with hundreds of millions of dollars in open positions across 104 matches, that window is an operational and reputational liability. CRE eliminates it entirely.
ADI Predictstreet, which FIFA named its first-ever Official Prediction Market Partner under a multi-year deal, adopted Chainlink as its exclusive oracle infrastructure on June 9. The platform is built on ADI Chain, using ZKsync’s Airbender zero-knowledge technology, audited by OpenZeppelin and Hacken, and operating under a Gibraltar license.

Myriad separately named Chainlink as its exclusive oracle for World Cup markets, building on its existing CRE integration for crypto price markets. Two competing platforms, both independently selecting the same oracle, are the market’s answer to which infrastructure is trusted at this scale.
“Chainlink provides the orchestration infrastructure that unlocks real-time prediction markets that settle with high-quality data and lead to fair outcomes and fast payouts,” said Johann Eid, chief business officer of Chainlink Labs.
Polymarket, which adopted Chainlink in September 2025, has already recorded over $1.8 billion in cumulative trading volume on its World Cup market alone as the group stage opens.
