Point of Focus
- Gemini Singapore customers can now deposit and withdraw XRP directly through the XRP Ledger.
- The integration expands local support beyond buying, selling and holding XRP.
- Singapore remains central to Gemini’s international strategy.
Gemini has enabled XRP deposits and withdrawals through the XRP Ledger for customers in Singapore, expanding its local offering beyond trading and custody.
Gemini co-founder Tyler Winklevoss announced the integration, describing it as “big news for the Ripple Army in Asia.”
Eligible customers can now move XRP directly between Gemini, self-custody wallets and other supported platforms using its native blockchain.
The rollout strengthens XRP’s infrastructure in one of Asia’s leading digital-asset markets, although Gemini did not announce new trading pairs, transaction fees or minimum transfer amounts alongside the update.
Gemini adds native XRP transfers
Before the integration, Singapore customers could buy, sell and hold XRP on Gemini but lacked access to native XRPL deposits and withdrawals. The new functionality makes XRP transferable beyond the exchange’s custody system.
Users can now deposit tokens from compatible external wallets and withdraw them directly to XRPL addresses. Gemini’s official guidance warns that deposits generally require both an address and destination tag because the exchange uses shared wallets.
Big news for the Ripple Army in Asia. @Gemini users in Singapore 🇸🇬 can now deposit and withdraw XRP over the XRPL network.

An incorrect or missing tag could prevent funds from being credited properly. Customers must also comply with Singapore’s Travel Rule requirements, which restrict withdrawals to eligible platforms or verified self-hosted wallets.
The integration did not produce a distinct XRP price move that could be reliably separated from the broader crypto rally. XRP traded around $1.52 as the overall digital-asset market advanced.
Singapore remains central to Gemini’s strategy
The launch carries additional significance because Singapore has become one of Gemini’s core international markets.
Gemini Digital Payments Singapore received in-principle approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore for a Major Payment Institution licence in October 2024. The company subsequently transferred local exchange accounts to the Singapore entity in April 2025.

In-principle approval does not constitute a final licence, and Gemini has not announced when the regulatory process will conclude.
The exchange consolidated its international operations around Singapore and the U.S. earlier in 2026 while withdrawing from several other markets. Adding native XRP transfers therefore represents more than a routine technical upgrade, supporting product development in a jurisdiction central to Gemini’s strategy.
Gemini expands its Ripple-related products
Gemini has steadily broadened its XRP and Ripple-related services. In July 2026, it added XRP to its derivatives cross-collateral pool alongside Bitcoin, Ether, Tether and Gemini Dollar.
The exchange previously enabled Ripple USD deposits and withdrawals over XRPL. It has also worked with Ripple, Mastercard and WebBank on tests involving RLUSD settlement for Gemini Credit Card transactions.
Huge step for XRP adoption. 🔥
Gemini enabling direct XRP deposits and withdrawals on the XRP Ledger makes the experience more seamless for users and puts real utility front and center.
More access. More liquidity. More infrastructure being built around XRPL.

The Singapore rollout does not introduce a new stablecoin settlement product.
Its immediate impact is narrower: giving local customers direct access to XRP’s native network and greater control over moving their assets.
