Points of Focus
- SOL trades near $97 after losing $100, with futures open interest still above $6.2 billion.
- Futures volume is about 10x spot volume, keeping derivatives activity elevated.
- US spot Solana ETFs added $33.49 million on Aug. 24, their strongest daily inflow of 2026.
Solana (SOL) traded near $97 at the time of writing after slipping back below $100, a level it briefly reclaimed on Aug. 25. Open interest (OI) has remained above $6 billion through the pullback, with $6.28 billion in SOL futures positions still active as the token retains most of its roughly 27% weekly gain.

Solana OI stays above $6 billion
CoinGlass data shows $10.06 billion in SOL futures volume over 24 hours against $997 million in spot volume, putting derivatives turnover at about 10 times spot activity. OI stands near $6.28 billion.

OI measures outstanding futures positions but does not reveal whether traders are leaning long or short. SOL can fall while OI stays elevated as new positions replace closed contracts on either side of the market. If OI remains above $6 billion during further price moves, substantial derivatives exposure will remain active rather than leaving the market.
Solana ETF inflows hit 2026 high
US spot Solana exchange-traded fund (ETF) data shows $33.49 million in net inflows on Aug. 24, the strongest daily result of 2026 and the highest since December 2025. ETF trading volume also reached a record $166.83 million, while the five-session inflow streak through Aug. 24 brought in $61.8 million.
SolanaFloor reported on Aug. 25 that Bitwise’s BSOL recorded its highest daily trading volume on record at more than $108 million. The fund accounted for about $25 million of Monday’s inflows, making it the largest contributor to the day’s $33.49-million total.

The ETF flows show that demand through regulated products remained positive as SOL approached $100. The move back below that level shows the inflows have not been enough to keep the price above the psychological threshold.
SOL price loses $100 as $93-$95 support returns
The $100 area is now the immediate level for SOL to reclaim. Recent price action has repeatedly put the $93-$95 area in play, making it the nearest support zone if the pullback extends. Above $100, the recent $102-$103 area remains the first breakout zone to clear.
SOL is still up roughly 27% over seven days, keeping the move below $100 inside a larger weekly advance. At around $97, the token sits only a few percent above the $93-$95 support zone, while futures open interest remains near $6.28 billion.
