Points of Focus

  • SOL trades at $117.33 after gaining about 61% during Q3 2026.
  • US spot Solana ETFs drew roughly $474 million in Q3, lifting cumulative inflows to about $1.6 billion.
  • ETF demand strengthened into quarter-end, but Sept. 30 brought a $12.5-million outflow.

Solana (SOL) traded at $117.33 at the time of writing after closing Q3 near $118.13, up about 61% from its June 30 close of $73.52.

The rally coincided with $474 million in quarterly US spot Solana exchange-traded fund (ETF) inflows, while weaker trading volume provided a counterpoint to the price and fund-flow gains.

Solana ETF inflows reach $474 million in Q3 2026

Birdeye estimated that Solana ETFs had attracted about $340 million during Q3 through Sept. 22. Farside data for Sept. 23 through Sept. 30 show another $133.8 million in net inflows, taking the quarterly total to roughly $473.8 million.

Fund demand accelerated during the week ending Sept. 25, when Solana ETFs drew a record $188.1 million across five sessions. Sept. 25 alone brought in $86.7 million, the highest daily total in Farside’s data set. Cumulative net inflows across the seven funds stood near $1.6 billion by Sept. 30.

Bitwise’s BSOL accounted for $1.225 billion of that cumulative total, or about 77%. Most Solana ETF capital remains concentrated in one product despite the category spanning seven funds.

SOL gains 61% as trading volume falls

SOL’s price rose sharply in Q3 even as daily SOL trading volume fell 43% from Q2, according to Birdeye. The number of wallets holding SOL rose 20.5% quarter-on-quarter to 8.38 million.

Holder growth continued while trading turnover weakened, showing that the two measures moved in opposite directions during the rally. ETF inflows added another source of demand, but the 43% volume decline shows stronger price performance wasn’t matched by higher trading activity.

In a Sept. 29 X post, crypto trader Daan Crypto Trades said SOL had flipped $117 from resistance and identified $148 as a possible target if that level held. With SOL back at $117.33, that former resistance is now being tested as support, while the higher target remains dependent on $117 holding.

Solana ETFs end Q3 with $12.5-million outflow

The quarter finished with weaker fund demand. Farside recorded a $12.5-million net outflow on Sept. 30, including $8.9 million from BSOL, after the category drew $5.4 million a day earlier.

SOL closed Sept. 30 at $118.13 after reaching $124.89 on Sept. 27. At $117.33, the token was about 6% below that late-September high at the time of writing.
