Points of Focus
- Ether trades at $2,753 on Oct. 2 after three consecutive days of ETF outflows.
- The price sits above 13 MAs, each showing an upward signal on the daily chart.
- Santiment’s ETH bullish-to-bearish comment ratio of 0.89 is its lowest since Jun. 7.
Ether (ETH) is trading at $2,753 at the time of writing, up 1.81% on the day after opening at $2,704.60 and ranging between $2,695.63 and $2,773.97.

The move above $2,700 follows net outflows from US spot ETH exchange-traded funds (ETFs) of $2.81 million on Sept. 29, $59.58 million on Sept. 30, and $55.37 million on Oct. 1, for a three-day total of $117.76 million, according to SoSoValue data.
The price sits above all 13 moving averages (MAs) that signal upward momentum, and the 10-day simple moving average (SMA) is 2.15% below it.
The next macro catalyst is the September jobs report, which the Bureau of Labor Statistics scheduled for Oct. 2 at 8:30 am ET.
Ether ETF outflows extend to three consecutive days
The Oct. 1 outflow of $55.37 million followed the $59.58-million withdrawal on Sept. 30, and the total value traded on Oct. 1 was $539.59 million.

Sept. 28 was the last inflow day, at $17.10 million.
Cumulative net inflows stand at $13.84 billion and net assets at $17.71 billion, which is 1.2% below the $17.92 billion peak on Sept. 22. The price is rising while flows fall, so the advance is occurring without new ETF capital.
Ether price analysis shows 13 MAs below the price
The 10-day exponential moving average (EMA) is $2,691.09, the 10-day SMA is $2,695.47, and the nine-day Hull average is $2,710.50, all upward signals. The 20-day EMA and SMA sit at $2,639.00 and $2,631.04, respectively, the 30-day pair at $2,580.69 and $2,583.35, and the 50-day pair at $2,467.88 and $2,469.53.
The 100-day EMA and SMA read $2,298.95 and $2,143.61, respectively, and the 200-day pair reads $2,276.40 and $2,114.44, also upward signals. The Ichimoku base line at $2,582.39 is neutral, and the price is 30.22% above the 200-day SMA.
The relative strength index (RSI) reads 67.70, and the average directional index (ADX) reads 42.54, both neutral, which points to a strong trend that has not reached overbought territory. Momentum (10) at 1.09 signals upward, while the moving average convergence/divergence (MACD) level at 77.12 is the only downward signal among the oscillators.
Ether support and resistance levels near $2,800
Resistance starts at the Oct. 2 high of $2,773.97, followed by the September high near $2,800, 1.69% above the current price, and the January high near $3,400. Support begins at the 10-day pair between $2,691.09 and $2,695.47, then the 20-day pair between $2,631.04 and $2,639.00.
A daily close above $2,800 would put the $3,400 area, 23.48% higher, in view. A close below $2,631 would bring the Ichimoku base line at $2,582.39 and the 30-day pair near $2,581-$2,583 into play, with the 50-day pair near $2,468-$2,470 below that.
