Corporate Bitcoin buying resumed this week as Strategy and Strive collectively added 1,582 BTC to their balance sheets following a sharp market decline that briefly pushed Bitcoin below $60,000. Bitcoin was trading at $63,847 at the time of writing, recovering part of the losses recorded during last week’s selloff.
The announcements came days after Strategy disclosed the sale of 32 BTC to fund preferred dividend payments. At the same time, the company purchased 1,550 BTC, while Strive acquired the same amount of Bitcoin that Strategy had sold.
Strategy disclosed that it acquired 1,550 BTC for approximately $101 million at an average price of $65,332 per coin, lifting its total holdings to 845,256 BTC. Executive Chairman Michael Saylor also said the company increased its US dollar reserves by $100 million, bringing total cash reserves to $1 billion.

Strategy’s latest purchase came days after the company sold 32 BTC to help fund preferred dividend payments, with the new acquisition exceeding the earlier sale by more than 1,500 BTC.
Strategy said the purchase and the increase in cash reserves were funded through $181 million in common stock sales.
Strive reported that it purchased an additional 32 BTC between June 2 and June 7 at an average price of about $63,911 per coin. The acquisition increased the company’s Bitcoin holdings from 19,000 BTC to 19,032 BTC.

Strive’s purchase matched the 32 BTC that Strategy sold a week earlier, though the companies disclosed the transactions separately and there is no indication they were related. Strive also reported an increase in cash and cash equivalents during the same period, while continuing to hold Strategy’s Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock, which was valued at $47.2 million as of June 7.
The purchases were disclosed after a sharp market selloff briefly pushed Bitcoin below $60,000, testing the resolve of companies that use the cryptocurrency as a treasury asset. Also, the gap in scale remains wide, with Strategy holding 845,256 BTC and Strive maintaining a 19,032 BTC position.
