Bitcoin (BTC) held near $64,213 on Wednesday as US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) extended their inflow streak to a second session. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust led the rebound, pulling in $303.8 million across Aug. 17 and 18, while BTC remained below $65,000.
The US spot Bitcoin ETF category added a net $486.8 million over the same two sessions, nearly double the $248.4 million withdrawn from Aug. 12 through Aug. 14. The inflows more than offset those three sessions of withdrawals, but Bitcoin’s limited price reaction has yet to push BTC out of its recent range.

Farside Investors recorded $160.2 million of inflows into IBIT on Aug. 17 and another $143.6 million on Aug. 18. BlackRock accounted for 62.4% of the category’s $486.8 million two-day net inflow, while the other ETFs together contributed a net $183 million.

BlackRock reported IBIT net assets of $48.44 billion as of Aug. 18. The $303.8 million absorbed over the previous two sessions equaled about 0.6% of that asset base, while Bitcoin remained capped below $65,000.

Strong hands are buying bitcoin:native.
Bottoms are formed when profit taking slows and conviction buyers step in. This setup looks similar to what we saw during 2022.

Barchart’s trend readings remain mixed. The 14-day average directional index (ADX) stood at 13.50, while the 14-day relative strength index (RSI) was 50.64. Bitcoin’s Aug. 19 intraday high of $64,926 left the price $74 below $65,000.
