Points of Focus

  • Bitcoin trades at $84,178.44 after reclaiming $84,000, with a Binance spot sell wall at $85,000-$85,500.
  • US spot Bitcoin ETFs drew about $3.08 billion across nine straight sessions through Sept. 29 before a $148.7-million outflow on Sept. 30.
  • CryptoQuant shows improving buy pressure, while Glassnode flags heavier long-term holder supply near $85,000.

Bitcoin (BTC) traded at $84,178.44 at the time of writing, reclaiming $84,000 after US spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) drew about $3.08 billion across nine straight sessions.

A growing sell wall still sits between $85,000 and $85,500, leaving recovering buy pressure to absorb both exchange asks and long-term holder supply near resistance.

Farside data show US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded about $3.08 billion in net inflows from Sept. 17 through Sept. 29. Sept. 21 and Sept. 22 accounted for $1.71 billion combined, while flows fell to $31 million on Sept. 28 and $66.2 million on Sept. 29. The streak then ended with a $148.7-million net outflow on Sept. 30.

Bitcoin ETF streak ends near $85,000 resistance

The $3.08-billion total shows heavy fund demand over the nine-session window, but the daily flow profile weakened after Sept. 22. The Sept. 30 reversal leaves less fresh ETF demand as BTC approaches a growing block of spot sell orders near $85,000.

Glassnode reported on Sept. 30 that sell orders on Binance’s spot order book between $85,000 and $85,500 had tripled since Sept. 24. Long-term holders also increased their share of total realized Bitcoin profits to 55% from 34% in the week ending Sept. 29.

A Sept. 29 Glassnode post showed more long-term holder coins concentrated between $84,000 and $85,000 than at any other price band on its chart. That supply sits just below the exchange sell wall, giving BTC two layers of overhead selling as it tries to hold above $84,000.

Bitcoin buy pressure improves below $85,500 sell wall

CryptoQuant offered a demand-side counterpoint on Sept. 30. Analyst MorenoDV said Bitcoin’s 90-day buy/sell pressure delta had returned to positive territory, showing that buying pressure had recovered from earlier negative readings. He also warned that a rollover in the metric while the price rises would point to weaker support under the move.

The data remain mixed: Buy pressure has improved, while ETF demand has weakened and long-term holders are realizing a larger share of profits near resistance. Glassnode placed Bitcoin’s True Market Mean at $77,200 on Sept. 30, about 8% below the current price.
